Prayer for your spouse's unguarded heart, mind, and body, and deliverance from evil and temptation
WARNING TO THE UNGUARDED HEART, MIND, AND BODY
Proverbs 6:
23For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
24To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
25Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
26For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adultress will hunt for the precious life.
27Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
28Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
29So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
32But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

THE BODY
Sin has to be confessed and dealt with.
Matthew 5:29
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Prayer:Lord, I do not want my loved one's whole body to be cast into hell because of offense in the body members. Sever wrong relationships from my loved one's soul that have given entrance to the devil to come kill, steal, and destroy. I pray my loved one will no longer allow sin to reign and receive the wages sin which is death.

If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
Prayer:Lord, shine Your light in my loved one's body. Your Word is a lamp to the feet, and light into the path of righteousness. I pray for Your Name's sake.

Prayer:Lord, by Your grace, You are more than able to deliver my loved one from the captivity of sin which reigns in the carnal man. Your spiritual law in Christ Jesus is greater than the law of sin.

Husband and wife

Prayer:Lord may Your Holy Spirit will convict my loved one to flee fornication and adultery.

Prayer:Lord, I want to speak to my loved one Your words that are spirit and life that will edify and not destroy. Deliver my loved one from a fiery tongue that speaks words that defiles the whole body. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

The responsibility of a Christian

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Prayer:Lord, I want to lift up Jesus in my life that my loved one may look up at Him and be healed, like the children of Israel that were bitten by snakes in the wilderness, when they saw the brazen serpent Moses made and put on a pole, they were healed.
As Your child, you give power to bring the body in subjection to You. Be magnified in my body as I take up my cross daily to follow You. Prince of Peace, I pray for my loved one and I that You sanctify us wholly, and that our whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameles unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

THE MIND
A person is as he thinks.
Proverbs 23:7
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Prayer:
My loved one acts this way because of wrong thinking in the heart. There has to be a renewing of the mind according to Your truth, and I pray this heart will be given to you.

The mind without God, is an enemy to God.
Colossians 1:21
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Romans 8:6-8
6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Prayer:
My loved one is an enemy because this mind is alienated from You, which explains the wrong behavior. This carnal mind does not obey You nor please You. I pray there will be a reconciliation through Jesus Christ who came to save sinners.

The mind of the lost is blinded.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Titus 1:15
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
Prayer:My loved one is lost because of blindness to the gospel of Christ. The devil has blinded the mind which has resulted in unbelief. Therefore, nothing is pure, and this mind and conscience is defiled. I pray the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God shines unto my loved one.

The natural man vs. the spirit filled man
Jeremiah 13:23
Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Prayer:My loved one does not know You, and that's why the behavior is not good and is used to living like this. I pray my loved one will receive spiritual understanding.

The highminded person loves the pleasures of this world, rather than love God.
2 Timothy 3:4
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Prayer:My faith in You is foolishness to my loved one who is not humble to believe and obey You, and rather rubs shoulders with the world. I pray my loved one will receive Your goodness and repent. You will not turn away a humble and contrite heart.

To change on the outside, the transformation happens in the inside first.
Hebrews 8:10
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Prayer:Lord, I pray that You will put Your laws in my loved one's mind, and write them in a heart of flesh, that You be the God of my loved one. Give my loved one the mind of Christ and that there be a transformation by the renewing of the mind. Only then, can my loved one be in subjection to Your will.

Either a person is in or out and cannot have it both ways.
James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Romans 1:28
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Prayer:I pray my loved one will believe in You with a single mind for stability in the path of righteousness. May my loved one retain the faith according to Your truth which makes a person free, rather than in bondage to sin.

A doubtful, anxious mind, is a worldly mind. The mind that clings to God is a peaceful one.
Luke 12:29-31
29And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Prayer:As for me, Lord, I will not be of a doubtful mind. I'm seeking your kingdom and your righteousness and these things that I ask of you, because I know it is your will that no one perishes but repents, shall be added unto me.
I will not dwell on thoughts the devil wants to plant on my mind, but rather I will trust You to save my loved one. My mind is stayed on Jesus the author and finisher of my faith.
Though I am going through tribulation right now, I will be of good cheer, as the Lord Jesus wants me to be, and I will be in peace, because I have laid all my care upon the One who really cares for me and my loved one, and the only One who is also mighty to save.
I trust in Your tender mercies which endure forever, and I praise You for Your wonderful works in the children of men. I will trust in the name above all names, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE HEART OF THE MATTER
Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:23
MAN AND THE HEARTA man may know between good and evil, yet he may not know the condition of his own heart.
THE HEART IS MULTI-TASKThe heart thinks; it is the seat of thoughts and intentions. It has imaginations and conceives ideas. The heart reasons and receives understanding.
THE HEART HAS EMOTIONSThe heart is emotional. It rejoices or grieves. It is troubled or in peace. It has a conscience.
THE SINNER AND THE HEART
The heart is desperately wicked and deceitful. Foolishness is bound in the heart since childhood. This heart has the plague of indwelling evil and is set to do evil. From it proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
THE DEVIL AND THE HEARTThe devil seizes The Word that falls on the wayside.
He puts ill intentions into the heart, as he did with Judas.
He fills hearts to lie to the Holy Ghost.
PRAY!
KNOW THAT NOTHING IS HID FROM GOD
Lord, you look on the heart, and you search it.
You ponder it and know it.
WHAT GOD DOES WHEN SOUGHTLORD, Take away the heart of stone from my spouse, and give (him, her) a heart of flesh. Create in (him, her) a clean heart. Yes, Lord, give my spouse a new heart, and turn (his, her) heart to You.
I pray Your love be shed abroad in my spouse's heart by Your Holy Ghost. Shine in (his, her) heart to give light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
PRAY YOUR SPOUSE DO (HIS, HER) PARTLord I pray my spouse give You (his, her) heart. May (he, she) guard (his, her ) heart and hide Your Word in it.
Help my spouse to detect and refuse evil imaginations and thoughts that are contrary to Your Word, and to believe in You with all of (his, her) heart.
I pray my spouse not be double-minded nor have idols before You.
May my spouse keep (his, her) heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.
LEST YE FALLLord, David, a man after Your own heart fell into sin, but Joseph fled temptation. I pray my spouse doesn't tempt you.
It's better to prevent than lament.
RIGHTEOUS MAN
LORD, when You save my spouse, out of the good treasure in (his, her)
heart will proceed that which is good.

How to pray away the other woman to be removed from interfering with my husband
Father, untangle and remove this woman’s tentacles off my husband’s heart. Sever this relationship like a cancer. Jesus my Lord and Savior is the excellent surgeon to do this.
Write Your commandments--particularly--"Thou shalt not commit adultery" on my husband's heart of flesh. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse my husband from this sin. Awaken him to righteousness. Give him light and let him hear Your counsel.
Put godly fear in him and this woman. Convict each of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. Deliver my husband from lust.
May each feel filthy and guilty over this illicit relationship. I pray they hate what they're doing. Remove this woman from him as far as the east is from the west. Take away from each the desire to see each other again. The devil comes like an angel of light and uses the unrighteous and the vulnerable at his will. Unmask him. Let my husband discover there is nothing desirable in this woman for him.
Pour Your love in my husband by Your Holy Spirit for his own wife. Rekindle our marriage. Restore our marital relationship by Your mercy and grace.

Dealing with hatred toward your unfaithful spouse and the other woman or man
To err is human to forgive is divine. You may try the human factor, but you can’t get help here. We wouldn’t know how.
Cry, let it all out. Just do it on Jesus’ broad shoulders. He understands you. He’s been there. While living on earth he got angry too--but sinned not. He understands abandonment and rejection, a man of sorrows despised, mocked, and even beaten to a pulp. The rest is history, but powerful. How he could hang on that cross and look at his persecutors and still pray, “Father forgive them.”
Romans 8:26Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.
Allow the balm of Gilead to be anointed on your wound. Jesus is our excellent Physician. Words are powerful. Say, “I have great peace and love God's law and nothing shall offend me.” No matter how you FEEL, say it. Then later, we can’t say how much later; could be the next day, week, month… the pain will dissipate!
Hate your spouse’s and the other person's sin, but not them. You heard it said: hating is like eating poison and hoping the other person dies. No, that is not who you are as a new creature in Christ. You are peculiar and a partaker of a heavenly nature. So bless and not curse. Overcome evil with good.
Hebrews 12:15
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
We’ve postponed this subject for the “right time.” This morning’s church message brought it home: Think about how God’s people in the Bible suffered such persecution! How could they take it?
The answer: They caught a glimpse of glory! What can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus? And He lives in His people.

If we believe God, we would buy the pearl of great price Jesus talked about no matter what the cost. What if the pearl of great price is our soul? Heaven is too wonderful, hell is too horrible; looking forward to seeing our dear Savior Jesus leaves us speechless. Don't lose focus of the heavenly vision. Cry, let it all out. Just do it on Jesus’ broad shoulders. He understands you. He’s been there. While living on earth he got angry too--but sinned not. He understands abandonment and rejection, a man of sorrows despised, mocked, and even beaten to a pulp. The rest is history, but powerful. How he could hang on that cross and look at his persecutors and still pray, “Father forgive them.”
Romans 8:26Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.
Allow the balm of Gilead to be anointed on your wound. Jesus is our excellent Physician. Words are powerful. Say, “I have great peace and love God's law and nothing shall offend me.” No matter how you FEEL, say it. Then later, we can’t say how much later; could be the next day, week, month… the pain will dissipate!
Hate your spouse’s and the other person's sin, but not them. You heard it said: hating is like eating poison and hoping the other person dies. No, that is not who you are as a new creature in Christ. You are peculiar and a partaker of a heavenly nature. So bless and not curse. Overcome evil with good.

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
We’ve postponed this subject for the “right time.” This morning’s church message brought it home: Think about how God’s people in the Bible suffered such persecution! How could they take it?
The answer: They caught a glimpse of glory! What can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus? And He lives in His people.

After discovering the fact that your spouse is having an affair, how do you confront your spouse
Every situation is different, every spouse is different. You know your spouse. How do you think he or she will react? Is he violent? a wife beater? Will he or she use your children as a weapon against you? (threaten to take the children away from you or perhaps use a dark secret as blackmail.)
IN ALL CASES, PRAY BEFORE CONFRONTING YOUR SPOUSE.AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T ACT IMPULSIVELY (like a chicken without a head)
COUNT THE COST
Be prepared for a domino affect BEFORE confronting your spouse about having an affair. Prepare for the scenario that is most likely to happen in your situation. For example, have money saved up if circumstances force you to leave your home and you have to travel. Begin organizing which belongings you will take with you. Actually, if civil, the one in default should leave if unrepented. One indication of being belligerent is denial or blaming you or others.
Luke 14:28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Luke 14:31Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
GET TRUSTED GODLY COUNSEL
Should you tell your children? I know of a woman that didn’t have to go that far. God worked it out for her because she talked to God first of all and received godly counsel. Then she made up her own mind. Nobody found out except the people involved and her discreet inner circle of godly counselors.
Psalm 11Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
THE DECISION IS ULTIMATELY UP TO YOU
If your spouse humbly admits to this wrongdoing, is he or she resolved to choose your sacred marriage over the other woman, or is she resolved to choose your vows before God over another man?
1 Corinthians 7:14-16
14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
15But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
16For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
OUR CONVICTION
This spouse cannot have their cake and eat it too. This spouse cannot live like man and wife with you while irresponsibly having an affair. There has to be an ultimatum.
1 Corinthians 6:16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
KEEP YOUR DIGNITY
Keep your composure as the woman of God or man of God that you are. Receive God's peace that passes all understanding. Speak truth. Let your spouse see God’s glory on you. Christians know how to rise above the circumstances as the eagles rise above the stormy clouds. God compares his people to eagles. Let your spouse see your integrity over the cheater and spouse thief.
DO WHAT IS RIGHT
No manipulation is going to help you. Don’t get frivolous or petty. Don’t use the children as a weapon against your spouse. Don’t come down to his or her level. Lift up your head, God’s glory is upon you. His Spirit will strengthen you. God’s wisdom will show you what to do. God will help you. You are not alone. If there is anyone to feel sorry for, it’s the cheaters. Pray for them!
PRAY WITHOUT CEASING AND TRUST IN GOD. PATIENTLY WAIT FOR HIM TO ACT ON YOUR BEHALF. WE HAVE PROVIDED YOU WITH MANY SCRIPTURES IN PREVIOUS POSTS THAT GIVE GODLY COUNSEL, AS WELL SCRIPTURE YOU TAKE TO GOD IN PRAYER.
BE PREPARED TO FORGIVE
The initial shock is over, you've gone through the grief, the anger and all the mixed feelings in between. You are ready to confront your spouse and he is torn by his infidelity and repents. FORGIVE--PERIOD.

SELF WORTH OF AN ADULTERER'S SPOUSE
At first, one tends to blame themselves or begins to question their value and worth against their partner’s lover. What is it that he/she has that I don’t have? Are they younger, slimmer, more handsome?
A great, great price was paid for us by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. You and I meant that much to Him. For God SO loved ….(John 3:16). God gave us a new ID when we became NEW creatures in Christ. Jesus is not ashamed to call us his friend, one that sticks closer than a brother.
The union of your marriage was approved with God’s signature. It is of great worth because He established marriage and blessed it.
It should not be you the one in doubt of self worth. You are abiding in God’s love and in His will as a faithful spouse. On the other hand, how is the infidel labeled? A cheater, a transgressor, an adulterer… They have to go hiding in the dark in shame. Think about the powerful, the rich and famous adulterers that got caught. What a disgrace! Anyone that goes against his Creator and a Savior who has the keys of heaven and hell is not in a very good frame of mind. The Bible says adulterers hate their own soul. Anyone that does not love God more than anything or anyone in the world is a poor candidate as a spouse. Pray they will repent with godly sorrow. Pray God will have mercy on them. Pray as though you would want someone to pray for you or a very close loved one if you were in their shoes.
The devil is a liar. You lift up your head. You are God’s special treasure. This thing that’s going on with your spouse is a work of the flesh. This spouse yielded to temptation. There is no excuse. The only solution is true repentance before God. But be a gap finder, rather than a fault finder. God will bless you for it. You are a child of the Most High. Overcome evil with good; be more than a conqueror by walking in love. You and they have the same enemy: the devil! And take this other Scripture to heart:
Psalm 3:3
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head

Help I’m bleeding! Just found out my husband is cheating.

Fear is your enemy. When you heard the bad news about your husband cheating, you truthfully acknowledge that there are giants in the land, BUT be of good cheer, there is hope, turn to God and pray.

STRUGGLING WITH MY FAITH
Nothing is going right
I am struggling to believe and instead of praying,
I cry all night
CHRISTIANS FIND ENCOURAGEMENT IN GOD
I want to do the Christian thing
I am desperate for God
My communion with Him is far better
than this unrequited love
This pain will not last forever
God removed my blinders and now I can see
I escaped a bad marriage and divorce
though what I’m going through is not easy
I will follow the Lover of my soul
He makes all things beautiful in due time
I will trust in Him to heal my broken heart
Sadly I got ahead of Him and not behind
He will lead me to the right person
He’ ll dry my tears and take away my sadness
I will build my life anew
from the compost of the rubble and the ashes
To all the broken hearted same as me
There is a good reason behind all things
that right now you cannot see
You too will find healing in God’s wings
You will pick up more strength and wisdom
Your true friends will not criticize but pray

WHAT HAPPENED
I was fooled and betrayed
and am bearing the burnt
of another’s selfishness and dishonesty
I'm the recipient
of someone without good morals
or a godly character nor integrity
MY CONDITION
I’ve been crushed
My heart is shattered into smithereens
My life is devastated and destroyed
I hurt in the deepest part of my being
I am lost and going crazy
I am struggling to survive and make it
from second to minute to hour to day
I’m seeking fast relief, even a tiny bit
FEELINGS
It feels like my world was crushed
under an emotional earthquake
I feel broken and that I’m dying
Unceasingly, I agonize and ache
The pain is so intense, it’s torture
And I am so depressed and miserable
I am also confused, inflamed, and bitter
I hurt so badly, it’s deplorable
SYMPTOMS
I feel numb and am in a state of confusion
I have hypertension and can hardly breathe

A prayer for your husband and the other woman, in God’s own words and language
After you found out your spouse is cheating, are you in a brainstorm mode about what you are going to do, told it to your best friend and received their counsel, or perhaps already tried everything you know how to do? You are short of words and cried ‘God help me’ prayers.
God has heard you. Take these Scriptures and derive from them prayers for your need. They let us know what God has to say on the subject of adultery. You don't have to pray blindly anymore. You know you are praying God's will and you will be sure He hears you because you are agreeing with Him by agreeing with His Word. That makes for powerful prayers when praying with faith. He supplies that faith through His Word also. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
It is our desire at prayerhouseoftwoorthree that many marriages will be helped by the praying of God's Word.
And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Matthew 9:18
While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
Matthew 15:25
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

ASK GOD’S INTERVENTION FOR:
Your husband
Deliver him from her deceptive, vain, flattering words. Father, loose the cords of his sins. Destroy the yoke with Your anointing. I pray You will not give him up to a reprobate mind. Save him from the spirit of whoredoms which has caused him to err. Enlighten my husband’s understanding. Let his heart see. And may he put away this evil and not destroy his soul. Forbid it Lord that this sin bring about severe consequences. I know that You discipline Your children because You love us. Have compassion on us, Abba Father. May Your kindness and goodness lead my husband to repent.
The other woman
Cause this woman to cease from playing the harlot. You said that adultery is evil and it is a great sin. You have taught us that our bodies are Your temple and anyone that defiles this temple, You will destroy. Adulterers shall not inherit the kingdom of God suffering the vengeance of eternal fire in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Put a godly fear in her, put love for her own soul. I pray for a godly repentance.
Your husband and the other womanGenesis 20:3
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man…
Father put Your fear in each, as You did with King Abimelech, when he found out the woman he had taken was Abraham's wife. Put the right person(s) in each one’s path to reprove this work of darkness, and may each receive godly counsel. Send to each one a Nathan, the prophet who confronted King David when he had taken another man's wife
You and your husbandAs for me, Lord, You said my husband is sanctified by a godly wife. I pray he will be encouraged by my testimony. May he see and appreciate the value of a virtuous woman that fears the Lord. Through Your eyes, may he see in me a meek, and quiet spirit which is in Your sight of great price. May he have wise discernment, Lord. Save him from the deceitfulness of a well-favored harlot. I pray he will return to me and to You and be made clean of this filthiness. I desire that my husband be happy and rejoice with the woman he married. Let my love fill him with delight and make him happy. May he be satisfied with his own well. You made us to be one flesh. He ought to give honor unto me and be kind and of good will. May You pour Your love in him by Your Holy spirit to love me as Christ loves the church and as loving himself. I pray he will be faithful and true to me.
God will give you the grace to forgive
Father, I thank You that adultery is a forgivable sin. Your unfailing love covers the multitude of sins. You will never turn away a broken and contrite spirit and the one that comes to You in repentance asking Your forgiveness. You gave us examples: You forgave Rehab, David, and the woman caught in adultery, just as You forgave the prodigal son. You will also remove the guilt and shame and will never remember it anymore.
Don’t cast stonesFather, I know that I also sin, and I don't want to be guilty of pride, bitterness, hate, and self- righteousness; nor do I want to cast stones and not forgive. I pray you will forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness with the blood of Your Son, the Lord Jesus. As heirs together of Your kingdom, we will glorify You in our body, and in our spirit, which are Yours.
Know that you have prayed God’s will
I know I have prayed according to Your Word, and I know You have heard me. I know it is Your will to save my husband that he not perish, but to bring fruit of repentance. It is Your will to save our marriage. Father if You be for us, who can be against us! Your Word which I have prayed will not return unto You void; it will accomplish Your will on earth and in our lives, as it is in heaven.
Wait patiently for the Lord to act righteously with mercyI will wait upon You patiently, Lord. I trust in Your mercy. You are faithful to grant my petition. You will do it. Thank You for Your unfailing love that lives in me and I can be kind, not behave inappropriately, not be selfish, and not be ill-tempered. I do not wish evil on anyone but do not rejoice in evil doings. I rejoice in Your truth; and I can endure my cross, for You will not give me more than I can bear. I will endure my cross also for my husband’s sake. Enduring my cross will bring results! I will believe and trust You in everything, and my hope in You does not make me ashamed. Thank You for the love, joy, and peace I have because Your Spirit lives in me.
